Sharon Wigdor Byers
I was raised in Ada, Oklahoma and attended the University of Oklahoma, receiving my Bachelor of Science degree in Law Enforcement Administration in 1994. I attended law school at Oklahoma City University School of Law, graduating in 1997, where I received the CALI award for academic excellence in trial advocacy.
Upon graduation from law school, I became an Assistant District Attorney in Oklahoma County, where I handled a wide range of cases from misdemeanors to murder cases. During my time in the District Attorney’s Office, I tried many cases to juries. I left the District Attorney’s Office in 2000 to expand my expertise into family law practice.
I have volunteered for Oklahoma Lawyers for Children, representing children whose parents have been accused of abuse and neglect. I have been a member of the Oklahoma Bar Association since 1997 and a member of the Family Law Section of the Oklahoma Bar Association since 2000. I am also a member of the Oklahoma County Bar Association and am currently the co-Chair of the Family Law Section of the Oklahoma County Bar Association. I am admitted to practice in every county in the State of Oklahoma, as well as the United States District Court for the Western District of Oklahoma. When I am not at work, I enjoy spending time with my husband, Jeff, who is also an attorney, and our wonderful daughter.
I am a highly skilled family law attorney and have over fourteen years of experience handling all aspects of family and divorce law, ranging from complex divorce and family law matters involving difficult child custody disputes to high-value assets and property distribution agreements.
