After receiving his Juris Doctorate degree in 1974 from Oklahoma City University, Don Cooke began practicing law as a partner in the Oklahoma City Law Firm of Miskovsky, Sullivan, Miskovsky and Cooke. In 1980, he left the firm to begin practice as a sole practicioner, with offices in Edmond.
Cooke’s practice is primarily divorce and family law, with countless jury and non-jury trials to his credit. He is one of the few attorneys in Oklahoma who has maintained the preeminent AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell for over 20 consecutive years, which is the highest rating possible recognizing his ethics and intellectual and professional skills. Each year Cooke lectures young lawyers on how to handle divorce cases as a part of continuing legal education.
